Move Up in Kidzburgh
When do children 'move up' to a new room or area of Kidzburgh?
Younger Children: Nursery and Preschool
Children move up to the next age group on their birthday or when a parent feels they are ready to transition to another room. Although many children transition with little or no anxiety, some may have a hard time with the change. For younger children who experience separation anxiety, it is recommended that a parent help by staying in the room with the child until they are comfortable. This helps teach the child that it is a safe place for them to stay.
Elementary Age Children: Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Children move up to the next grade level class on the final weekend in August. New class levels,
K-3rd or 4th-5th, will correspond to the grade they will be entering in the fall.
Watch for letters to mail out each spring which explain move-up procedures and include specific dates and information.
