Genuine About the Matters of Christ
Philippians 2:19, Devotional #3

If the Lord Jesus is willing, I hope to send Timothy to you soon. Then when he comes back, he can cheer me up by telling me how you are getting along.
Philippians 2:19

Father, I know lots of men and women who have full time jobs and involvements and who, without a doubt, "genuinely care about (the) welfare" of others and who genuinely care for "what matters to Jesus Christ!" And what an incredible joy to be associated with so many such people! Christianity was new in the days of Paul. We have had years and the lives of many to show us the true ways of Jesus. There have been so many who have paved the way for our faith and I thank You for them.

The annual "KidsFest" program is going on here at our church. It's about the nineteenth year. There are volunteers that were "KidsFest Kids" at one time. There are so many high school folks who are loving and serving children because these children "matter to Jesus Christ." There are so many children, teenagers and even adults who have come to know the truth of Jesus' love through the KidsFest ministry. Father, thank You for the many "Timothy's" around us who are totally given to Your service, to the genuine welfare of others, to Your kingdom matters! May we simply see the glory of Your hand at work in so many "jars of clay!"

Father, it's just not about us. That is really what Paul is saying in regards to Timothy. Timothy is living his life for Your kingdom and for others, for the matters of Jesus. Life is just not about him. And I thank You for the many that are growing and have grown to grasp the reality of this calling. Thank You for your Holy Spirit who so fills Your people. Come Holy Spirit!

Thank You, Father, in Jesus name. Amen.

Love, Dad/Danny
