Orchard Hill Church is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled counselor to provide faith-informed counseling services to adults, couples, and families within our community. We are especially interested in clinicians with experience in trauma recovery, relationship counseling, women's emotional health, and adult mental health. This position offers the opportunity to build a counseling caseload while serving in a Christ-centered environment that values clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Role Overview

As an independent contractor, you will provide professional counseling services while managing your own schedule and caseload with a high degree of autonomy. This role is ideal for a clinician who values flexibility, is committed to ethical and evidence-based care, and is comfortable practicing within a faith-informed setting aligned with the mission and values of Orchard Hill Church.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling services to adults, couples, and/or families

  • Conduct assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation

  • Manage scheduling, client communication, and caseload responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions

  • Integrate faith-informed perspectives into counseling when appropriate and desired by the client

  • Collaborate with church staff as needed while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality

  • Uphold ethical, professional, and legal standards of clinical practice

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field

  • Experience providing psychotherapy to adults and/or couples

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a private caseload

  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and compassionate client care

Preferred Licensure

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with couples and marriage counseling

  • Training in trauma treatment (EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT, Brainspotting, somatic approaches, etc.)

  • Experience supporting women's emotional health, including pregnancy and postpartum transitions

  • Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms

  • Ability to integrate faith and spirituality into the counseling process when appropriate

  • Couples and relationship counseling

  • Trauma recovery and trauma-informed care

  • Adult individual counseling

  • Anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions

  • Women's emotional and mental health, including pregnancy and postpartum adjustment

  • Family systems and relational dynamics

  • Substance use and recovery support

Schedule & Structure

  • Part-time, independent contractor role

  • Flexible scheduling based on clinician availability

  • Evening availability preferred to meet client demand

  • Opportunity to expand hours as caseload grows

  • In-person and/or virtual sessions based on client needs

Compensation

Compensation is structured on a per-session basis and will be discussed during the interview process. Referral support is provided through the church's Care Ministry and community partnerships.
